Chris Malenab

Chris was born and raised in Sacramento. He played his youth soccer for River City United while attending and playing at Christian Brothers High School. Chris graduated from CSU Sacramento with a BA in Sociology.

 He coached both the boy’s and girl’s soccer programs at El Camino from 2001 through the 2004 season. In 2003, Chris coached the boy’s team to a Capital Athletic League title and to a Division 2 Sac Joaquin Section Final. The Sacramento Bee named Chris All-City Boy’s Soccer co-coach of the year in 2003.

Chris is a former assistant coach for the Men’s soccer program at Cosumnes River College in Elk Grove, California. He also enjoyed a successful year with the girl’s soccer coaching staff at St. Francis High School in Sacramento, California where they won a Division 1 Sac-Juaqin Section Championship. Chris is also currently the head Boy’s and Girl’s Soccer Coach at Rosemont High School. In 2004 he was an assistant coach of the Sacramento Knights (Men’s Premier Soccer League).

 He is currently on the United Soccer Academy International Coaching Staff as well as the Northern California Director, having taken players to the Gothia Cup in Sweden, the Umbro Manchester Football Festival in England and the Holland Cup in Holland. Also conducting training sessions in Denmark. In 2002, Chris coached his U-17 Sacramento team to a 4th place finish in the Holland Cup. In 2003, he coached the U-14 Academy Girls team to a top 16 finish out of 84 teams in Sweden. In the spring of 2005, Chris assisted in coaching the U10 Academy Boys in a 3rd Place finish in Italy’s Lake Como Cup. In 2005 Chris coached the U17 Academy Girls to a 2nd place Finish in Denmark’s Dana Cup.

 Chris currently holds his USSF National C, NSCAA Goalkeeping Diploma I&II, NSCAA National Youth Diploma and N.F.H.S. Coaching License. In 2004 he successfully completed and passed the NSCAA Goalkeeper Diploma 3 course in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Most recently Chris received his NSCAA National Coaching Diploma in Denver, Colorado.

 While coaching at Capital Valley United Soccer Club, Chris was awarded the Double-Goal Coaches Award by the Positive Coaching Alliance for his motivational work at the youth level, in September 2005.

 In 2006 Chris joined the California Rush Soccer club in their inaugural year as their  Junior Program Director , Head Goalkeeper Trainer, as well as head coaching both the Nike 94 girls and the Nike 89 Girls.

 

Bill Fisher

A USSF and NSCAA licensed coach, Bill Fisher has directed and trained various youth, club and high school programs. As Director of United Soccer Academy International, Bill has lead over 1,500 youth players to 22 countries on 3 continents over the past 15 years. As a former NCAA Division I player with international playing experience, Bill focuses on Total Player Development: technique, tactics, fitness, and psychological aspects of soccer.

Randy Meza

Randy has been coaching youth soccer for over ten years. He graduated from Cal Poly- SLO, with a degree in Engineering.  Randy currently holds a USSF National "D" Coaching License and a USSF Class 8 Referee License.  He has been the Director of Developmental Play for the Roseville Youth Soccer Club (RYSC) and has been the Coach Coordinator of the Placer Youth Soccer League (PYSL).  Over the past three years Randy has been a staff coach for the District VI Olympic Development Program (ODP), and was head coach for the 2004 U14 Girls team.  This year he will coach a competitive team with Placer United and a select team with RYSC.
