 European Soccer Tours

Malenab Soccer Academy has partnered with the United Soccer Academy to offer players throughout the United States the opportunity to experience training and playing overseas.

United Soccer Academy International

A soccer organization run by soccer people for soccer people, United Soccer Academy provides youth players with quality soccer experiences here in the United States and overseas. If it is your dream to compete internationally or if your looking for a comprehensive soccer camp then United Soccer Academy is for you.

For individual players looking to experience international soccer United Soccer Academy offers three programs overseas: the Brazil Tour in the winter, the Italy Tour in the spring, and the Gothia-Dana Tour in the summer. For complete teams, clubs, high schools, or collegiate programs, United Soccer Academy customizes soccer tours to soccer rich destinations throughout Europe, Asia, and South America. Here in the United States players can attend United Soccer Academy Soccer, Speed, and Strength Camps in New Jersey and in New Hampshire. These five day residential camps provides players with cutting-edge curriculum in skill, tactical, psychological, speed, strength, and agility development.

 

Clinic / Tryouts

Players are selected for our international programs through our clinic/tryouts, application process, or by a member of our national staff. To register on-line for a clinic/tryout please click on your desired date to take you to the registration form. There is a $15.00 clinic/tryout registration fee. Players that are unable to make a clinic/tryout please contact our office for an application process.

The two hour clinic/tryouts are very instructional and players will receive a high caliber of coaching. The clinic/tryout will deal with speed/agility drills and technical and tactical exercises. We look forward to seeing you at one of the clinic/tryouts!

March 31
Depart the USA for Rome, Italy.

April 1-3
Rome. Attend Serie A match at Olympic Stadium (AS Roma or Lazio SS). Training sessions and matches. Sightseeing program in Rome.

April 4-5
Florence/Montecatini. Two matches, plus training session. Sightseeing program in Florence.

April 6-9
Milan/Como. Participation in the Como Lake Cup (boys) and Como Champions Cup (girls). Attend Serie A match at San Siro Stadium (AC Milan or Inter Milan). Sightseeing program in Milan.

April 10
Return to the USA.

Program Summary

2007 Italy Tour. The 10-day Italy Tour will be filled with plenty of training and competition, attending two Serie A matches, and sightseeing to some of Italy’s most famous sites. The tour will begin with three days in Rome. While in Rome the tour will begin with attending a Serie A match at Olympic Stadium to see either AS Roma or Lazio SS play. Players will have three full training sessions prior to their first match in Rome. All matches will be full-length. When not training or playing, guided sightseeing tours to Rome’s most famous sites have been planned. Sites include the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, St. Peter’s Basilica, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and Vatican City.

Following our stay in Rome, we will travel north to Florence and will be accommodated in Montecatini, a small resort town outside of Florence. While in Florence teams will play two matches. Teams will take part in a half day guided sightseeing tour of Florence, the capital of Tuscany, and will see such sights as Ponte Vecchio, Santa Croce, the Doumo (Cathedral), and Medici Chapels.

The Italy Tour will conclude with four full days in Como and Milan and participation in the Como Lake Cup (boys) and Como Champions Cup (girls). This three day tournament will have teams from Italy, England, France, Switzerland, Germany, and Romania. Players will also attend a second Serie A match at the famous San Siro Stadium, home to AC Milan and Inter Milan. Sightseeing excursions are planned for Milan and Como. The teams and group will return to the United States on Tuesday, April 10 from Milan after ten days of great soccer and taking in some of Italy’s most famous sights and sounds.

Depart the USA for Glasgow, Scotland.

July 18-21
Glasgow, Scotland. Training camp with special sessions with professional coaches from Rangers FC and matches vs Scottish teams. Stadium tour of Ibrox, home to Rangers FC.

July 22
Manchester, England: The "Manchester Unted FC" experience with a tour of Old Trafford and training session with MUFC staff coaches at the Cliff Training Grounds.

July 23-29
Watford, England: Participation in the Watford and London International Festival of Football. Full sightseeing program to London, as well as stadium tours to Emirate Stadium and Stamford Bridge. Farewell dinner.

July 30
Depart London for return the USA.

Program Summary

The Britain Tour will begin with a four-day training camp in Glasgow, Scotland at the University of Glasgow’s Garscube Campus, which is used by such professional clubs as Kilmarack, Celtic, and Rangers as a training center. During this period, the United Soccer Academy coaches will focus on individual player development and team preparation for the upcoming Watford & London International Festival of Football. The coaching staff will focus on the key attributes of developing a soccer player: technique/skill, tactical awareness, fitness, and psychological aspects. The training camp will combine the perfect formula of training sessions with guest coaches from the Rangers Football Club and exhibition games versus Scottish teams. In between sessions players will visit Ibrox Stadium and Murray Park, the training center Rangers FC.

Following the training camp in Scotland, the teams will travel south into England for an overnight visit to Manchester. Players will visit and tour Old Trafford, home to Manchester United FC. Players and teams will also have a training session with the youth coaches from Manchester United at the Cliff Training Grounds. Following the short visit to Manchester, teams will continue south to London for participation in the Watford & London International Festival of Football.

London’s finest youth football festival will be played in Watford and will attract teams from around the world. The Watford & London International Festival of Football is London’s only professional level youth tournament featuring Academy and Centre of Excellence Teams from local Premiership and Championship Clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Watford, Charlton, Reading, and West Ham. United Soccer Academy will enter teams in both the club and professional sections of the tournament. Prior to the tournament, teams will have training sessions with professional coaches from Arsenal and Watford, as well as 1-2 “friendly” matches. Off the field, players will take part in guided sightseeing tours to London and Windsor, as well as stadium tours of the Stamford Bridge, home to Chelsea FC and the new stadium of Arsenal FC, Emirates Stadium. The tour will conclude with a farewell dinner on July 29 before returning to the United States on July 30.

Santos: Home of Pele and Santos FC. Stadium tour of Santos Stadium. Matches versus teams from Santos and Guaruja. New Year's Eve celebration.

January 4
Morning arrival back in the USA.

Program Summary

2007-2008 Brazil Tour. Brazil, winner of five World Cups and where soccer is king, will be the ideal location for United Soccer Academy’s winter program. Sao Paulo FC and Santos FC, two of the most famous soccer clubs in the world, will host our youth teams in a 10-day program to Brazil.

The tour will begin in Sao Paulo with three full days of training and matches. Matches will be full-length. Sightseeing will include a stadium tour of Morumbi Stadium, home to Sao Paulo FC and the Brazilian National Teams. Teams will also spend a ½ day playing “futsal” in the local favella. On December 30, prior to transferring to Santos, the teams will take part in a morning sightseeing tour of Sao Paulo.

Santos, well known for its seaport, beaches, and Santos FC, the club of Pele, will be home to United Soccer Academy for the next four days. On December 31 the teams will have a morning training session, followed by sightseeing in Santos, and a tour of Santos Stadium. On New Year’s Eve, players will have a special dinner at the hotel and take part in a traditional Brazilian Ano Novo celebration on the beach with fireworks.

United Soccer Academy will bring in the new year with matches versus Portuguesa Santista, Santos FC, and Guaruja FC. The weather and climate in Brazil will be ideal for the tour, as United Soccer Academy experiences the best of Brazilian soccer, both on and off the field. The teams will return to the United States on January 4 from Sao Paulo after 10 days of Brazilian soccer and a great cultural experience.
